About Me

Little Wonders is a wonderful learning center located right here in Missouri City. This is where talent, imagination and professional skills are being dedicated to the teaching of our young children. We understand that children learn differently. Through observation and listening, we encourage each individual's unique learning styles; while focusing on their physical, educational and emotional needs. All of our teachers are professionally qualified with combined expertise in education, speech & hearing therapy, bilingual education and English as a Second Language. With a low student-teacher ratio, we provide your child with the attention they need. Little Wonders Learning Center is located at the corner of Lexington Blvd. and Dulles Ave. In this center, you will find a number of warm, loving teachers committed to putting children first. This isn't your ordinary day care facility.

Spring Garden

Springtime is here and we are ready to get our garden in tip-top shape!

All of the kids at Little Wonders got together to work in the garden! They used their compost to prepare the soil and then planted the vegetables, fruit, and flowers that they brought from home!

We all can't wait to see how our garden will grow!

Wonderland

Some of the kids in class started a project on Alice in Wonderland. They wanted to create their own wonderland filled with magical creatures! This is how they described their finished project which is posted above.

"The Airplane man is flying to the bunnies because the bunnies have a giant surprise!"

"Alice and her friends are stuck in the rain and they don't know how to go home. Tayden is in the helicopter and is going to help Alice and her friends her home. "

"The Dragon is Flying into Kiersten's cave to hide from Alice and her friends. "

"Dungeon has monsters and bad guys. Kiersten is picking flowers."

The color blue!

The kids have continued their interest in the color blue so they decided to work with the legos in class and practice their counting skills! They were given the tub of legos and asked to sort them according to color. They separated them into groups of red, blue, yellow, and green. Afterwards, they sat in a circle and counted out all of the blue legos. They had a great time working as team and had fun counting!

The Color Blue!

While we are still continuing our project on buildings, we recently became very interested in another project... the color BLUE!

We talked about different things that we knew were blue like the sky and water. We also made our own blue paintings and experimented with blue tissue paper. We have even started writing the word blue! We will keep you posted on this project and see what other things we discover are blue!

We have started a new project in class!

We are very interested in buildings and recently have been building structures out of the blocks and legos in our classroom. We started talking about different kinds of buildings such as schools, houses, doctor's offices, etc. We are starting to measure the height of real building and we are amazed how tall they are compared to the building we have made in class! We will be doing much more discovering over the next few days so if you have any information that you can bring into the classroom on buildings we would love it!

The Return of the Dinosaurs!

One project we keep revisiting whenever the elephants will allow us ;0) is dinosaurs! Here is a peek at us working on our latest dinosaur project. We read books and identified the different dinosaurs, we drew them, cut them out, and then glued them on one big paper. We wanted to give them something to eat, so we cut up some green leaves and trees for them, and the dinosaurs seemed to LOVE what we created!

It will be hanging soon in our room....................
