Little Wonders is a wonderful learning center located right here in Missouri City. This is where talent, imagination and professional skills are being dedicated to the teaching of our young children. We understand that children learn differently. Through observation and listening, we encourage each individual's unique learning styles; while focusing on their physical, educational and emotional needs. All of our teachers are professionally qualified with combined expertise in education, speech & hearing therapy, bilingual education and English as a Second Language. With a low student-teacher ratio, we provide your child with the attention they need. Little Wonders Learning Center is located at the corner of Lexington Blvd. and Dulles Ave. In this center, you will find a number of warm, loving teachers committed to putting children first. This isn't your ordinary day care facility.

Tracking the Weather

Everyday we use our big calender to help us remember what day of the week it is, the month, date and year!
We start from the beginning of the month and count to the day we are at...

Then, each day,a different student gets to go up to the calender and cross that day out! We love this part! ;-)

Since we have shown interest in the weather, we are tracking it everyday in class.
During the day we sit outside as a class and discuss what we see, hear, and feel.  We write and draw what we observe on a piece of paper.

Once we come back to the classroom, one of us draws the weather  for the class on the chalkboard!

Our writing and drawing skills have really improved. This is a daily activity we do. Come check out our work being displayed in the classroom!

Building our Alphabet

We are in the process of completing the entire alphabet.
The children are searching for materials around the class room  to build their letters. We are so excited to see those creative skills reinforcing their knowledge of the alphabets.

We can't wait to show you the whole alphabet when we are done! :o)

Scavenger Hunt

We are really interested in learning about our alphabet! A lot of the projects going on in our classroom are helping us write and recognize them.
This project started when Amanda and Natalia were in the hallway playing with flashlights, they started looking for T's between the cracks on the floor and also between the walls.

"Were trying to make different T's. There is little T's and big T's. and we need to look for all of them."

"I found a S."
We brought the game inside the classroom and explained to the kids what Amanda and Natalia had been doing in the hallway. Everyone was interested but didn't know how to start the game!

We asked them to find the letter "A". Than all the children started searching around for hidden letters.

"I found an A."

                              "I found a circle! A blue Circle."        " Here is an A."

                                                "Look, W!"                 "I found A, S,N E and I."
Then all the children started searching around for hidden letters. The kids knew most of their alphabet letters and when they found their letters, they yelled across the room so that they could take a picture of it!

"I see R!"

"I see A."

They loved being so hands on and using the camera to take their very own picture of the letter they found!
We will continue this game until we have found all the letters in the alphabet! We cant wait to show you the rest of our alphabet photography! We are discovering our photography skills!
