Are there trees in the desert?

Now that it is summer time, our class has been spending a lot of time next door with our prek friends! We are so inspired by thier work, and we are jumping in to join all of thier project work!

Yesterday, Trevor brought in a collection of animals from the African desert. We were talking about where the animals live and what they eat. We knew the giraffes ate from trees, but Blake said,"There are no trees in the desert!"

We opened up a book on Africa and saw that......YES, the African desert does have some trees! Not a lot like a forest, but just a few! We all worked together to make one big art piece showing the desert with 4 trees!

Surprise for Father's Day!

Just wanted to let you see a sneak peak at us working on our Father's Day presents! Don't forget dads, Friday we have a breakfast date! Plan on spending a little extra time dropping us off so we can eat breakfast together!

CARS

Our class has been BIG on cars this year! We have made cars out of boxes. We build highways, streets, and garages. We love drawing and spelling words about cars, soooooo why not get in some cars and check them out!

come join us for music classes for our families, it' s for parents (not necessary to be there) and children (newborn-4). tumblebees music & movement classes is a weekly class where parents and children sing, dance, shake eggs, beat drums, call & respond, clap, tap, laugh, skip, jump, pretend, learn & grow. tumlebee classes start wednesday, june 17th. come sign up & join the fun!!!

summer reading

Little Wonders is proud to announce that the whole school is enrolled in the summer reading program! All ages, 0 - 18yrs, are able to participate! We are SO fired up about it, that we cannot stop reading! To keep track of the books you read at home there are forms by the door to fill out & when you've read 20 books just bring your form in to ms. maryam & take another one home. It's summer time, who goes to bed on time let's read 2 books every night.
