Little Wonders is a wonderful learning center located right here in Missouri City. This is where talent, imagination and professional skills are being dedicated to the teaching of our young children. We understand that children learn differently. Through observation and listening, we encourage each individual's unique learning styles; while focusing on their physical, educational and emotional needs. All of our teachers are professionally qualified with combined expertise in education, speech & hearing therapy, bilingual education and English as a Second Language. With a low student-teacher ratio, we provide your child with the attention they need. Little Wonders Learning Center is located at the corner of Lexington Blvd. and Dulles Ave. In this center, you will find a number of warm, loving teachers committed to putting children first. This isn't your ordinary day care facility.

Bugs and Snakes

After Noah's birthday party, we have been revisiting our snake projects!  We had so much fun at the reptile show!  A slide show is being prepared and it should be on the blog soon, so stay tuned for that!
We have a great book on snakes, and we are starting to recognize different species of snakes!  Ask us about corn snakes and rattle snakes, these are our favorites ;0)
The children are really picking up writing, reading and spelling.  Our hand writing is developing beautifully and we are spelling and writing our letters all the time.  It is wonderful to see the reading and writing emerging in their project work at such a young age!
We have started using different materials to make snakes......
But aside from our snakes, we love bugs!  We have been reading about bugs!  We have discovered that bugs have 6 legs!  We used clay to create our own bugs and we put 6 legs on them......

We are learning what snakes eat, about how snakes hatch from eggs, and what animals eat bugs.  This is turning out to be a great introduction to the food chain!  We also have a snake egg in our class that we have put in water and we are watching the baby snake come out of the egg! (this is fake ;0)  )  The snake will come out as a small snake and over the following days grow into a bigger snake!

We are having fun with our children and all of their interest in this project, parent involvement is always welcome, so please let us know if you have any suggestions or materials that could contribute to our projects!
